You may remember me posting this earlier... Twice... One colour and one print. Well, you get it a third and final time because I don't care if you're sick of it.
This is the complete reference print all other prints need to match. It's significantly darker and has a nifty textured background if you notice the subtlety. I've done 6 of these prints and have 3 artist proofs of varying qualities. I plan on printing 6 more making a run of 10 along with this reference print and my artist's copy and the 3 artist proofs.
It's amazing just how much time gets sunk into this stuff... It took about 3 hours to print 6 of these suckers. I was operating all the presses alone though and had to ink the plate, place it on the press, wash my hands completely of ink (and damn is ink hard to wash off) grab a clean sheet of white paper I had previously prepared and soaked (which is where clean hands are vital) and place it on the print. Roll the print, rack it and re-apply ink for the next one. Lots of hand washing, lots of printing. Really this could have gone much faster if I didn't have to get my hands immaculately clean each time to handle the paper. Gloves or an assistant would have come in handy.
After that I cleaned up any gunk (pencil/stray ink) on each print individually and put it in a hot press to flatten it. I could hot press two at a time which was nice.
I'm not sure, but I might sell a few of the prints.
I put the old artist proof print into scraps so you guys can compare these if you like.

Haha, thanks. I like this one better too, though it's the digital quickie that most people seem to have favourited and commented on x.x
Oh well, I like the prints better myself, and holding the heavy, crisp paper, being able to see the ink sitting on the thing and the plate mark... It's really something better seen in reality, digital doesn't do it justice. ;)
