About the Species:
-Ramies are (normally) Gentle Creatures who are nomadic for the first parts of their lives. ----They Travel far and wide looking for their perfect mate to start a family with. They MAY find more than one mate in their travels. Ramies can be Polygamous.
-Once a mate or MATES are found, they search for a Meadow that they think is suitable for starting a family in. While they search, it is not out of the ordinary that they run into other coupled Ramies or other species (single or coupled) and make them a part of their Family.
Pregnancy and Incubation:
(READER DISCRESSION IS ADVISED)
-Female Rammies only carry their babies for a week.
-During this week she eats large amounts of food to pack the gel like egg that forms around her baby full of nutrients. While she eats, she crafts a nest made out of sticks, twigs and her and her mate(s) fleece.
-When the week is up and she goes into labor and out comes the baby encased in a soft, squishy, dew drop like egg.
-The egg sits in the nest and incubates for 3 months while the Father stays and watches over it, protecting it from everything and regulating its temperature, while the mother hunts and gathers. (if it is a polygamous relationship, half watches the baby, the other half gather food.)
-After 3 months of incubation the baby will grow too big for the gell and will eventually pop it like a bubble. then it will cry and the father(or parents) will be there to comfort it and welcome the little thing into the world. these days are called "Pop Days"
-Pop Days are a big deal for Ramies. the ENTIRE family gathers around one nest to welcome the newest member, and congradulate the proud parents.
-Baby Ramies are born with no teeth, Fleece or Horns, but have small mane and tail hair growing.
Conflict resolution:
Every Family has its problems, when it comes to fights Ramies fluff up their fleece to make themselves look as big as possible. if it is an even match and neither side back down, a fight ensues. the Battle carries on until one gives up or is too injured or tired to continue. it is RARE that a Ramie will kill one of its own and if it does happen, that Ramie is Exhiled from its family.
