This is a work based on the Gen 5 leaks. I'm mixing together a couple of the different leaked designs here, but whatever.

TBH when the leaks first came out, I was quite upset that Twilight was not only losing her wings, but her horn as well. I won't get into all my theories about this upcoming generation, but my main one that I settled on was that her cutie mark still seemed to be a symbol of magic. So what better way for an earth pony to do spellwork, than with alchemy circles? The idea of spells being acceptable to all ponies through various means has appealed to me for awhile, but the thought of how cool it would look for an earth pony version of Twilight to have to quickly draw her spell circles in the middle of battle to protect her friends was especially neat. So this piece is based on that idea.
