This is an enhanced version of a picture that I did way back in 2015. It is an important feature of my headworld, so I decided to give it a high res version in my current style.
I expect the science police to come pounding at my door for... well... a lot of reasons, actually. They annoyingly always seem to find something in my headworld to complain about. But pertaining to this image in particular, there are two things:
Instead of a supermassive black hole being in the center of the galaxy there is... this thing. A massive nebula in the vague shape of a human heart. Perhaps a bit much of the hitting one of the head with symbolism, but I feel like it does a good job or representing my headworld in the way its meant to be.
Also, nebulae in my headworld look like the color enhanced photos of nebulae rather than what they actually look like. As a representation of myself, I believe that nebulae being splashes of color to by necessary.

A couple of things.
For one, it's your headworld. nobody has a right to complain about anything in it, and I say that *as* a scientist.
For two, the universe has many secrets it has not revealed to us. The things that the Hubble Space Telescope revealed, just as an example, shocked the astronomy world when pictures first started coming out. Even black holes remained a theoretical construct until observation showed that a) they weren't holes, but spherical and b) they often glowed with released energy as matter was drawn in.
We still have no friggin' idea what dark matter and dark energy, the hidden webwork of the universe, really is.
TL;DR: Nobody has the right to complain about your headcanon, and who's to say the Heart of the Galaxy doesn't really exist in some form in our beautiful and mysterious cosmos?

Here, here, ArchTeryx!
Sci-Fi is exactly that, Science Fiction. It does not have to conform to anything which we see as Fact and, as you highlight, what I was taught as Science Fact just a few decades ago contains many things that are now proven to have been just as much Science Theory and non-Factual as any Science Fiction written by any author.

UlarioGryphon, you can make the centre of your Galaxy whatever you want as long as it works in your headcanon because it is your headcanon and nobody else's and to those who complain you can just stand there and shout "Get off my headcanon lawn, you self-righteous gits!"
