I am the ruler over life beyond death, the great hierophant, the archlich Kathesh. I have waited for millenia in the depths of my pyramid hidden beneath the sand by my magic, becoming ever more powerful, and now that my tomb has been found is time to make the dead serve my once more.
In life I was high priest in the temple of Harto, one of the gods that the old empire worshiped, there I began developing the arts of what would be called necromancy along side other kinds of sorcery thanks to an artefact of great power that was kept in the temple. It was around that time when they showed themselves to my. An emissary came from the light and other from darkness, they demanded me to join them and a sent my undead servant to eviscerate them, making clear that our empire would serve none. That would be the doom of our people.

Before my death I created the tree phylacteries that would allow me return to the world of the living if my body were to be destroyed. After my mummification I decided to hide in my tomb and become powerful enough to take return my empire to its former glory. And now that the time has come I will be the scourge of the living in my former lands and once the dead rise from the sand we will expand and take our revenge.

Not the Council of virtue or the Demon lords will be spared my wrath. They will pay for what they did all those years ago.
