"Hmm..."

Death Mountain glowed in the night; the light from the lava illuminating all around it.

Kass, Kyo, and Kio were traveling down the volcano.

After dealing with the demon that infested Divine Beast Rudania, while walking, Kass was taking a minute to comprehend the battle he just won.

"I knew you could do it, Kass!" The blue Inkling beside him said. "Good thing all those rubies that enchanted you, made you fireproof. Now you have a special power, just like us!"

"And that sword really suits you." Kio, the orange inking girl, chimed in. "Good thing you got it; I don't think either of us could use something that heavy."

Kass chuckled at the praise he was receiving from his little friends.

"But I thought you two had that Dynamo Roller thing." He replied. "Didn't you say that was a heavy weapon you could use?"

Both Kyo and Kio laughed.

"Yeah, but there's a big difference between that Boulder Breaker and a Dynamo Roller." Kyo said.

"At least with a Dynamo Roller, we can fire ink and attack from a distance." Kio explained. "To us, that thing would be a useful as a Dynamo Roller with no ink."

"I see." The avian replied with a chuckle. "Well, I guess-"

Kass was interrupted when a large pack of boulders came falling towards them. The older male quickly took the inkling into his arms and jumped backwards, narrowly avoiding getting hit.

It was a pretty close call.

"Augh!!"

They weren't safe just yet. A giant boulder was directly above them, and this time, due to the lava nearby, dodging wasn't going to be too easy.

Though Kass didn't need to.

Quick as a flash, the avian slammed his fists together, and a large sphere of red light surrounded them. Daruk emerged from the light at shattered the massive boulder as it touched the barrier.

"You guys!" The spirit goron said. "These aren't from the mountain, there's someone above making them fall on you! You're under attack!"

Kass' first thought was that the three of them were under attack from the Yiga Clan.

"Revali!" Kyo shouted, and the spirit archer emerged with the wind.

"Let's go!" The archer said, both him and Kyo flying upwards.

"Aaauugghhhh!!!"

A second later, Kyo was sent flying.

"Kyo!!" Kass, Garuk, and Kio shouted, and were about to run over to him, but someone had jumped down from above, standing on their way.

This figure was one Kass had never seen before. He was some sort of anthropomorphic feline; red, black, and grey being his colors, and seemed to be wearing only a pair of shorts.

"Huh?" The feline said, in a somewhat deep voice.

He looked at Kass, a little puzzed.

"Solgaleo?" He said, then soon shook his head. "No, you're different. Heh, imagine if I had the luck of finding both an Aladar and Solgaleo at the same time."

Kass had no clue what the man was going on about, but it didn't stop him from summoning his new Boulder Breaker and lunging at him.

The feline managed to dodge out of the way of his strike, giving the avian a cocky smile.

"Well someone isn't one for introductions~" The man purred. "You wouldn't happen to be Aladar's boyfriend, would you?"

"B-boyfriend?!" A light blush appeared on Kass' face, and though he was a little shaken from that comment, he still managed to keeps swinging his blade.

Also, something told him that the man was referring to Kyo, his inkling companion. Kass wasn't sure how the feline knew of his crush, but it didn't matter at the moment; he was going to crush him.

Yeah, I was gonna write more, but I'm afraid of losing power because of the flash flood and heavy rain we're having right now, so this will have to do.
