So as most probably know, on 6/19/18 i was in an accident. I got off better than the other guy, as you can see. He rear ended me going anywhere between 20-30 mph while i was yielding to an oncoming emergency vehicle- i didn't hear tires screech so I don't think he even tried slowing down, which makes me suspicious that he was probably texting while driving. The guy's impact bar AND radiator were completely split in half from the direct hit to my hitch. I don't know how he fared health-wise, but i ended up with a heavy concussion and whiplash that i'm still recovering from a month later. I can't tell you how glad I am to have this truck...if i'd still been driving my Cadillac, it would have also been totaled.
So far the damage repair has soared well over $1,000 (not to mention my ER visit) but because the accident was the other dude's fault, his insurance has paid for everything.
Hopefully I'll get my truck back this coming monday...i miss it and hate driving a rental
will probably scrap this after a bit

In a truck, it just depends on where you're hit. The ass end is the strongest point because of the hitch reinforcement. If i'd been hit in the side or front, there would have been a lot more damage because of crumple zones
But at the same time- trucks are built to be workhorses and take a beating. After driving a truck, i dont think i could ever trade for a car again
