I still have a "real" pic planned this week, but these doodles turned out particularly well so I decided to post them too.

While doing my back-to-school shopping a few weeks ago, I splurged and bought another book on cartooning and have been slowly integrating the new things I've learned into my style.

Personally, I'm quite pleased with the results, What do you think?

Thanks Spyro, I've been trying to get my depiction of the various characters to be more consistent for awhile now, but I think they turned out especially well here!

True, I remember trying to use adult proportions in my earliest babyfur pics. Those pics weren't too bad, but short, chubby little cub are definately the cutest type! *nods*

Oh, I should also say that your hand- and foot-paws are looking really good here too. Specially on the Kaffre and ZeeZee down the middle.

Oooh thanks, that's especially nice to hear from a paw connoisseur such as yourself!

Anyway, I probably did put a bit more effort into their footpaws since I knew Tacki's would be obscured behind Kaffre2's head and was diappointed at drawing that pair too tall (again). Plus I couldn't think of anything I could do with draggy's left hand paw that wouldn't look really strange...

Yeah, muzzles can contort and change shape to keep their muzzleness, but somehow I find I'm loathe to do that with beaks... *sighs sadly*

I think I'm getting better at kitties and similar looking critters, but I think I may need more practice on other sorts of babyfur critters though, especially those with longer muzzles as my current method deforms their faces too much...

I'm not entirely sure what's under the shorts either, but they're certainly very stylish!

This involved a bit more effort than my usual doodle sheets, but I'm quite proud of the results on the Kaffres and Zee-Zee though I still need a lot of practice on MJ and Tacki...

Actually, I had been using the 3 heads tall method for awhile, but the book I got suggested 2.5 heads for "Cute Animal Kids". Interestingly, the author still recommended 3 for (human) children...

Anyway, I do think it does give us a more cutesy babyish appearance...
