Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps have been friends a long time now...but Judy never forgot about the time Nick tricked her and led her into wet cement! On April Fool's Day, Judy decided to finally get back at Nick! When he wasn't looking, she dumped a bucket of quick-drying cement all over him, and before he could even cry out, he was stuck fast! The cement left him stiff and immobile, his face frozen in a look of shock. Only his eyes and his nose remained free.
"Hhh?!?!" Nick struggled to move as Judy laughed.
"Ha! Consider this revenge for the whole wet cement incident!"
Nick had to think for a moment to remember what Judy was talking about. His eyes widened when he recalled. But this wasn't fair! That was before he and Judy were friends! Nick tried to protest, but only muffled whimpers emerged from the fox statue.
Judy smiled. She had originally intended to only leave him like that for a few minutes...but she couldn't resist having a little fun with him while he was helpless like this!
"Tell you what, Nick," she said. "I'll let you out of there...as soon as you apologize!"
Nick was relieved, and he apologized immediately. Or at least, he tried to. "Hm'm fhrrn! Hm'm fhrrn!" was all that came out.
"What was that, Nick? I couldn't quite make it out," Judy teased. "You'll have to speak up."
If his face wasn't stuck, Nick would have furrowed his brow in frustration. How was he supposed to apologize with all that solid cement wrapped around his muzzle? He couldn't open his mouth to speak a word! He grumbled angrily into the stone that kept him silenced as he looked at Judy with pleading eyes.
"Hm," Judy observed, "it doesn't sound like you WANT out. Alright then, suit yourself! Have fun being a statue!" Nick's eyes widened with panic as Judy began to hop away.
"Jhdn, ghmm bhgg! Nhh ghn't dh thnf th mm! Lmt mm HHT!!! JHDN!!!!!" Nick tried to call after her, but there would be no sweet-talking his way out of this one. The once sly fox had been silenced, reduced to a mere mute monument! He had been hustled, fair and square.
