No, it was just tired from flying around all day. They need more calories than you would think to keep their wings moving. About 10 calories which is a LOT for such a small bird.

So lucky! I adore hummingbirds, they're one of my favorite animals. I've only seen a couple in my life, just flying around a bush near a Church in Maine one day...they're so beautiful.
