This chapter grew from the song, and I needed a story behind it, so having Stargazer ask Dipper to be his Best Man fit nicely. It allowed Dipper to express his gratitude to his uncle for all of the help he had given him. Quite a ways from running away thinking he had been abandoned, huh?
