Sir, that would be a waste of produce. And in today's economy?
Vegetables (or fruit, whatever) aren't cheap, you know.

But... what if they go rotten?.. You can't just waste them throwing away to the trash can, throwing them at failures is atleast amusing. Hmmm, but yeah, stones would prolly be more practical, you can re-use them again and again.

That's the spirit, reduce reuse recycle! Those rotten tomatoes could be used for compost, much more practical.

Yup, and you get even more compost material after using stones enought times... Tho I think bones could be a slight invenience once you start using the compost.

Yes... I think this is the only female i put on FA since I came here in 2007... I even surprised myself.

Also, have you answered the 'why deer' question before? I'm quite curious...

Uhh, a "why deer" question? Has it been asked? Did I miss it?..

I don't know, I assumed it had, but if it hasn't -

Why deer? Totem animal? Childhood interaction? Just 'cuz?

Strange, I don't remember anyone asking.

Why?
Hard one. Many reasons. Mostly symbolic. I guess I just see my own personality as having traits we associate with deer. Or it's just a convenient metaphor.
1. Skittish, fearful animal. I'm very paranoid and always tense. I always feel as if something bad is about to happen, esp in public.
2. The perfect metaphor of a victim. It's a pray animal. I don't feel secure in any situation (see 1.), that's mostly how I feel.
3. It's not an agressive animal, preffering to avoid trouble. I'm not into confrontations, and fighting or harming someone is out of the question, I preffer a peaceful approach, even if I have to "loose". Unless someone else is in trouble.
4. Deer just look good, i find them beautiful. They're full of rhythm and grace. Also i like the fact how their anatomy is angular, light and minimal - bones and sinews dominate, construction very evident (unlike horse, for example, which has more round forms), it's very fun to draw. Oddly enought it mimics my own complexion - I'm thin and wiry to the point of looking sickly, it's not because I preffer anorexic complexions, i just can't pick up weight no matter what i do, so i just gave up on it.
5. There's something about the fact that I preffer speed/maneuverability/agility to strength and direct brute force aproach in many things. Light ungulates like deer seem to embody that principle nicely.
6. Deer are quite curious. Curiosity is one trait i have enought of, maybe even too much.
7. Antlers are very interesting sculptural shapes.
8. Vegetarian? :P

That's about it, I guess.

Well, I like it. This really stood out to me looking through my submission list.

As for the beard... uh, some ladies have beards. Beard excused.

I confess this same weakness.... I actually get really upset with myself because it's pretty self-explanatory as to exactly why it is I end up drawing almost males exclusively. It's silly, but I feel like such a tool as a result.

As for this drawing, I like the very stylized shape of the body (especially the legs), the bending of the torso, the gesture of the arm. It's an expressive figure.
