As noted in a previous art, Kinchaku and others of his particular kind sometimes tend to over-eat, resulting in a bigger, fatter form. To other Tree Spirits, to find one in such a state is often a sign of good luck. To hug and sink into the fat belly is a guarantee of said good luck~
As such, here's Totoro encountering Kinchaku in such a state, getting a nice, deep hug in. He is surely a lucky fella indeed~
