Greetings everyone, so here's another supporting character designed by the main artist of the project
BodyxCount.
Ald is basically a milita commander of a band of Hurtkens that live "off the grid", essentially taking care of their own community by providing all their resources and essential services internally; they have a fierce independence streak, but they have a problem they can no longer deal with: the rising power of bandit gangs emerging from the "yellow zones".
They are approached by Griggs, who would like to have them rejoin society through the cooperative system; though Ald and his community would rather stay at arms distance, hence the two have to find a way to sorta compromise. Essentially the two groups start out as wary relationship, but may become stalwart allies when faced with an enemy that doesn't care for ideology and merely wants to dominate everything on the horizon.
Character wise, Ald has seem conflict before; he fought in a rebel band during the "Hurtken rebellions", a series of civil conflicts on the Hurtken worlds after the "Dragon wars" ended; and again after the cease fire as a mercenary group contracted to keep the peace. Seeing his share of fighting and people dying for political reasons Ald's motivation for moving to Korsun was to get away from everything and live a life of peace and quiet, of course then the scourge showed up and caused Korsun to become unstable, but through ingenuity and tenacity his group managed to survive and thrive regardless.
Despite Ald's somewhat rural mannerisms, he shouldn't be underestimated; he's more well read and witty than he reads on, and often uses his folksy charm as a way of persuading his friends and keeping his enemies underestimating him. Ald is a pragmatist at heart though, and will often concede to a solution that he believes will work in everyone's favor rather than trying to take a stand for a supposed cause, about the only thing he remains stubborn on is keeping his community independent, but he wouldn't follow that course to their annihilation either.
Anyway, this is kinda Ald in his combination uniform, where he's wearing some of the garrison issued armor, along with some of his own stuff underneath. In the initial exchange he might be a bit more casual, but for most of the animation this will probably be his appearance.
Let me know what you all think, if you like the design, if there's anything that can be used from it for other characters, and any other thoughts you have in general.
Thanks everyone, hope you like the character.

Hurtken, so dog in this case. Basically the colonists of the Soldiens, who ended up becoming a mix of the three Soldien types (Midlander, Blauen, and Arctic).
This was mostly accidental, as they became cut off from the rest of the empire during their first expedition into unknown space, it was only after 4 centuries of isolation (and the Hurtkens believing that maybe the Soldien empire collapsed) that they were finally rediscovered.
