The Perils of Being Fluffy
Summer is just too dang hot.
A little bit of funny vent art about the heat waves we've been having. Fall can never come fast enough!
Done with pencils on 8.5"x11" sketch paper

Southern Indiana, maybe... but in the northern counties, winter can be downright NASTY.
But summer is just as terrible, in the opposite ways. Bugs, scorching heat, soaring humidity...
The worst part is the near-total lack of a Spring or an Autumn. The trees turn colorful for a few days around mid-October, and by Halloween the ground is frozen solid and we're getting snow. By February, your farts will freeze as we hit single-digits (F) or even less, and the lake-effect snow drifts up like sand dunes. There's the customary March blizzard that always hits that month, and it stays stubbornly frozen until sometime in May... when within a week we'll go from freezing to baking. Then we roast at 90 to 100+ degrees F until October again.
It's so disgusting!

Same frame as this I drew up a few years ago.

I personally hate hot and oppressive humid days.

Agreed. Over here in Germany we are hitting 35°C on a daily basis recently - which sucks big time. Going to the pool or lake isn't an option either because both are overcrowded with such weather.
what annoys me the most, however, is not so much the heat, but rather that some idiotic politicians (primarily in the US) still deny te existence of climate change - even though this change is obviously happening and leading to more and more extreme weather phenomena every year.

I can relate so much..
My apartment's got a wall that's basically just glass (big windows and a door that's 2/3 glass, and the windows can't be opened) and it's hit straight on by the afternoon and evening sun, making it an oven from 2-4 pm and onwards.
If I don't air out from noon-ish till the sun goes down, it's impossible to sleep. And yesterday was the worst yet, a real scorcher. The fan couldn't even cool off the air, no matter what setting I set it to, and I aired out practically ALL DAY too!
They say it might rain Saturday, and I just hope this time it happens. We haven't had rain in ages, and all the grass has turned yellow.

that sounds awful. We have a westward facing window as well, which makes it so our 2nd floor gets quite hot in the afternoon/evening. I air out the upstairs as well, but just starting when the sun sets.
Sleeping with the fan on is a must. I'll keep my fingers crossed for that rain for ya. I don't think our relief from the heat comes until next Tuesday
