Aranck was a simple being to begin with, a creature that merely wished to make peace in the world. Hired as a soldier, he saw it as his personal duty to merely remove those that threatened his own leaders, saw it as the only way to peace. As rebellion as well as outside threats threatened the lands that he lived in, the young man had a lot of work to do, and his craft was quickly honed. Capable of dispatching a multitude of enemy combatants by himself, he was taught in a plethora of weapons, and the arts of subterfuge. The King relied on him more and more, using him to go ahead of the army and hopefully learn information, or even clear a path to ease their way to more conquering. One day, Aranck did not return, having fallen in a brutal battle for a rebel leader. his troops surrounding the home and dispatching the spy. Waking up on an altar, the hyena was put before the God of War and given a simple a choice. In his life, he had waged war, but would he return to the earthly realm as an agent of the God of War, to sew Chaos where we once saw peace? With the choice made, Aranck was returned to the earth, in a new form, imbued with powers from the God of War himself.
