Rose/Chris is a transgender red panda, and the main character of my new script (Which I just completed a couple days ago!)

It's been over a month since Chris was abducted by a certain shark by the name of Jennifer.
Jennifer proceeded to use her ship's equipment to transform and brainwash him into a specialized bio-android called a synth-doll, and reprogrammed him to be her girlfriend and loving servant. She even gave him a new name.
"Rose" has settled into "her" new life pretty easily, for the most part. "She's" happy to keep the ship clean and running, and she's quite good at it, thanks to the skills Jennifer programmed into her. She's also completely infatuated with Jennifer, and is happy to be of use to her. They even sleep in the same bed, where she makes use of some other features Jennifer programmed into her. Their time together tends to be the highlight of her day. It's not an easy life, but she mostly enjoys it.
But she can't quite get over that wrong feeling she has whenever Jennifer addresses her with female pronouns, or calls her "Rose". Her original sense of self is hazy at best, and she can't make any sense out of it, but she can't shake the dysphoric feelings that keep manifesting. Jennifer's programming has worked wonders for creating herself a loyal pet, but it failed to complete erase the man Rose was. It's only a matter of time before that becomes a problem for both of them.
I'm so excited, now that I've actually completed this script. I can't wait to have Hoagie draw it! :D

This story kind of reminds me of the Pedro Almodovar movie The Skin I Live In. I won't spoil it for those who have not seen it yet, but I will say I hope that this story has a batter end for Jennifer and Rose.
Also, I can't help but feel that there's a small bit of irony in having a transgender woman forcing someone to live under an assigned gender that's at odds with their true self.

I've seen that movie. It's neat, and very messed up. xD Things between Jennifer and Rose (Chris) will continue to get worse until Jennifer finally owns up to how much harm she's put him through and stops making the poor boy live a lie. But to Jennifer's credit, she couldn't have known this would happen. The control pin she used on him (installed in the neck, and permanently connecting their mind to a server) typically allows whoever has admin access to completely change the doll's personality into whatever they please.
The pins were originally made for installing a mind onto artificial bodies crafted from synthetic tissue (Synth-dolls) that had no minds of their own, you see. Turns out, they usually work really well on live people as well, leading to the company to start illegally turning people into "special" synth dolls for select buyers. But Chris turned out to be one of those folks whose core identity can't be permanently overwritten, for some reason. Weirdly enough, the changes to his skills and his willingness to work for Jennifer weren't an issue! If she'd just settled for making him her boyfriend and let him live as a guy, she'd have never run into any problems and he'd probably never know that she'd tinkered with his head.
