Vincent: *takes in a deep breath, then sighs* Yeah. Great bunch.

Keanu took me under his wing when I first started on the promotion. Showed me how to play my character, or at least not become jaded by having to play a Heel my whole career up here. Voruger and Tsunami had a pretty good rival there. "Drown that bear!" the crowd would chant. Kale had so much potential too. Sure, he was just a young talent. Maybe in a little over his head since he got fathered into the company. But I figured that I could return the favor that Keanu did for me and tuck Riptide in under my wing.

Then there was Makelina. *sighs again, rubbing the back of his wrist against his right eye* She wasn't around much. Mostly during the summers when she wasn't in school. But she was the light of the locker room, you know? Sure, she referred to the high-ups as Mr. or Mrs., but all the performers were like close relatives. I ended up as "Uncle V," cause she always had a hard time pronouncing Voruger. Was kinda cute actually. Think she even wanted to join for a time, help continue the legacy. But...

Vincent: Honestly? No one has really heard from her since that night. I mean... it would be wrong to say the company swept it under the rug. I know they gave her grandmother a huge settlement with it to be give to Makelina when she turned 18. On top of paying for all the medical expenses for the three of them. And the final expenses for her Dad and brother.

They claimed that she doesn't remember the accident. God I hope that's true...
