The winter maiden tree is a huge tree that is found all around the world in warm areas. Although it's rare to see more than one full grown at the same time. They always call people's attention for the pure whiteness of it's leafs and the bright almost jade like shine of the seeds and it's peculiar shape like a beautiful maiden.
The seeds are very particular, they are dipteras that after falling off the tree rotate and fly to anew place were to grow where there is space enough for the big strong roots it will need to grow. The tree only grows 2 seeds each year and they are called Maiden's tears given their particular shape.
The sap of this tree is cold to the taste like peppermint but it's sweet. which makes it a very interesting ingredient for some dishes but also given the low number of trees it's very rare to have enough for mass production.
