Nil is a kobold scavenger, the lowest rung of kobold culture. Scavengers go out into the dangerous world above and dig up useful trinkets to bring back for the rest of the clan, and this danger tends to breed a particular paranoia and kleptomania.

Nil is paranoid and cautious, but also brash and overconfident, in his own special way. Nil enjoys stealing things, partially because he wants them, but also because he likes to prove that he can. He has, on multiple accounts, stolen the pants off of one of his allies without being noticed, merely because he could get away with it (and, well, because he lacks pants of his own). Nil's skill is great, but his loyalty to his friends is... questionable.
