The newest comer to my roster.

The SDP40 is a passenger adapted variant of the EMD SD40 frieght locomotive.The SDP40 is a rather obscure diesel. It was NOT very successful in its day and as a result of that, not very many of them were made. Only 20 or so were produced in real life. Southern Pacific (as the one shown here) never purchased any of these. But it's still a pretty good engine and find. This is my 4th SP locomotive (my 5th if you include the Cotton Belt B40-8). Its road number is #9263.... (Though the actual 9263 was an SSW Cotton Belt Tunnel Motor)
But one thing I actually do like about this engine are the trucks, they're different. It has silver trucks as opposed to dark gray or black trucks and it makes the engine look very VERY nice. (even though I bought it used, but it's still a good engine. It runs VERY WELL)
Another feature I LOVE is the placement of the horn. It's on top of the cab as opposed to the long hood.
