"10 winters you will travel, 10 summers you will serve, and when the fall breaks after that, return home and take place back with the tribe."
Those words ring in his mind every day as he travels with his adventuring band. A reluctant service, but one he serves faithfully, for it if wern't for his companions, he would have lost his tribe to the anger of human miners. With the debt of the whole tribe on his shoulders, and issued the spear of his tribe, the trapper and rogue, Slithertail adventures with his band, unaware of a morbid truth: He is the last of his tribe.
Suspicious of 'Tallards' (a derogatory word he gives for races larger than him), quick with a bite, and not quite refined with the civil world, Slithertail makes good on the promise, delivering on with skill, speed, and his devious mind for traps. (Tar Traps in particular are his favorite) Bound in service, he counts the day he can return to the mountains of the Sulfer Tooth tribe, a tribe earning its namesake for its curious habit of grinding their teeth on sulfur to deliver a poisonous bite. Until then, he travels, adventures, and is known for causing as much trouble as he is getting out of it. Will you be his next companion?
I'm grateful for Bleats making an old D&D and Pathfinder character come alive at last. While I don't have time to do the tabletop past time anymore, its nice to memorialize a character I've long enjoyed and favored for his antics and trouble. March on, Slithertail, every day is one step closer home ... and two steps closer to the truth.
