So, I heard we have a lunar eclipse, which is causing a blood moon~
Quite a view.
It wasn't easy to capture but at least I got it on camera :P

To be honest. It's slightly edited, but the moon really was that red. I just had problems finding the right settings in my camera as the moon was moving so fast xD Bit I figured it out and this was the best my camera could do in the light situations.
If you want to see the unedited, I'll put a link into the description in a bit. :P

I actually took photos of the partial lunar eclipse back in 2015, but they weren't that red like today :P https://www.flickr.com/photos/shado.....5/21777419932/
Very nice shot! While out there you may have noticed a very bright orange "star" nearby it too. That is Mars and it is at its brightest since 2003 (due to lining up of earth/mars positions in orbit, mars being "full" and the planet wide dust storm raising its reflectivity) and made a beautiful pair with the moon last night. I'm in N. America so I missed the eclipse but I imagine Mars looked even brighter with the moon dimmed like that :D
Yes, I saw the Mars too, it can be seen on that picture here a little, where the moon was almost back at full brightness again. But yes we saw the bloodmoon, the Mars and the ISS flying around us at the same time! https://flic.kr/p/28sEEVY
Ohh thats even better :D Last time I really saw the ISS was during an open air concert in my town where they had some old 80's acts. They had Eddie Money on stage and during the concert he suddenly said, "Hey Cincinnati there's the space station" and everyone turned and watched this brilliant point rising in the sky. Also saw it in '09 during Camp Feral (furry camping experience). A few years before that I had picked both it and the shuttle (which was trailing it) out with binoculars and you could see the shape of both. Lots of great memories around the ISS!
