...Turns out Berri never broke up with her girlfriend after all.

Berri explains to Shadow that she and Eve were messaging eachother over the site about a few weeks before the date.  She says that Eve helped her through all of the issues she was facing and was a huge support for her, and that there wasn't any way that she'd dump her just because she was way too nervous to go through with the date.  She (Berri) told her about the whole situation with her mother after the date, and then Eve felt absolutely terrible about it, and that she wishes she hadn't left her on her own.  Then she (Berri) tells her that she found a friend that was kind enough to let her live with him, to which Eve was very happy.
Berri then explains to Eve that Shadow is more than just a friend, and that they've been together since after the date.
But finally she explains to them both that they both mean so much to her, and that they both helped her so much, to which she was incredibly grateful.  So, she couldn't possibly leave either of them.  Both Shadow and Eve feel lied to and betrayed, unsurprisingly.  Berri becomes overwhelmed and locks herself in the bathroom, leaving Shadow and Eve confused and at a loss...
