LAKE FORGGENSEE - BAVARIA - GERMANY - A FEW DAYS LATER
Terence and his friends were all relaxing beside one of Bavaria's alpine lakes, with beautiful views of Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein castles in the background. While most of them were laying in the sun relaxing, Emil was dragging what looked like a large picnic basket behind him.
"Hey? Can I get some help over here"?, he cried.
Everybody else got up and laughed a little to themselves, before helping Emil with the basket. Soon everyone was having a nice picnic beside the lake. Terence then tapped on a cola bottle to say something.
"I would like to make an announcement. I would just like to say that I think we were all very lucky to be here today, after what had happened to us a few days before and all this couldn't have been possible without the help of Jürgen "Totenmaske" Jäger of whom helped us out of that predicament and I hope that he has finally found his peace".
As Terence said this, Dr. Neumann looked up at the blue sky and thought about him, Maceo put one of his paw onto one of hers and smiled. She retuned the smile while looking at him, as Terence continued his speech.
"And as for Vitaly Sokolov, I sincerely hope that he found his peace too. Here's to him too".
Everyone clinked their glasses and bottles together, before each taking a drink to remember the fallen furs.
"Who would have thought that I would be saved twice by the same fur as before"?, said Dr Neumann.
"No one I imagined Freya. But I am glad that 'e 'elped us out. Even though 'e 'it me at the back of my neck when I asked for 'is ticket"., added Maceo.
Dr. Neumann just giggled as Polecat picked up an English newspaper and was reading a headline about corrupt officials in Novosibirsk, Russia getting arrested for their illegal dealings with the Mafia. Emily also looked at the paper.
"Seems like those blokes got themselves into big trouble"., she said.
"And it looks like the town will get a new generator for it's power facility, only a LOT more up to date and safer"., added Polecat, before putting the paper down and pulling Emily close to him.
"I'll bet those poor folks onboard the Express to the Sun where shocked to discover we too had disappeared"., said Bomber, before she started eating a jam sandwich.
"Yeah fortunately we got to the authorities and alerted them to everything. They'll be keeping an eye on the Arlberg Pass, but the radiation should have been contained under all that rubble and the lead from the destroyed carriage"., added Terence, before offering a few potato chips to Bomber.
"Well this is just terrific. It seems that despite what happened, all of you had found someone. Emily is with Polecat, Dr. Neumann is with Maceo and B is with Terence. But poor ol' me, I have to head back to Melbourne, before the boys from Canberra begin asking questions about my involvement with the whole thing"., Emil said, before he started munching on a plain cheese sandwich.
"I'm sure the company will be in the clear and they'll have second thoughts now though about who they deal with"., smiled Emily.
"You know Emil, you seem very stressed out, why don't you hang around with us for a while"?, suggested Terence.
"What? Hang around with you? Erm what do you mean by 'us' by the way?, asked Emil.
"Well we all decided to hang out together for a while. I think you were in the little koala's room when we discussed it"., answered Polecat.
"So...All of you are sticking together"?, asked Emil.
"For the time being yes. It gives us all a chance to see the world"., said Dr. Neumann.
"Money isn't a problem. We all have our own sources of income"., added Bomber.
"Though I'll 'ave to find a new job somewhere else now"?, added Maceo.
"I could do with an assistant to help me? You'll more or less be a nurse and wouldn't have to deal with the more bloody tasks if your quite squeamish"?, suggested Dr. Neumann.
"Well I can try it I suppose? Merci Freya"., replied Maceo.
"And what about me"?, asked Emil.
"Come on, surely you can ask the company for some leave, or just quit"?, suggested Emily.
"Yeah I suppose....Oh what the heck, I'm in. But do you want a third wheel like myself getting in the way of all you love birds or what"?, Emil asked, sounding unsure.
Both Terence and Bomber then sat closer to him.
"We would be honoured if you came along with us"., said Bomber.
"The more, the merrier"., added Terence, putting a paw on Emil's shoulder.
"OK then, you convinced me"., Emil smiled.
Everyone then raised their glasses once again to celebrate the forming of their new team. Terence then picked up the news paper and after flipping through a few pages, he noticed something interesting.
"Huh? This advertisement looks a bit off. It's for a dry cleaning store in Mexico City, but I noticed something. The letters to the start of each sentence spells 'help me', interesting"., said Terence.
"Hey I just noticed something too. The message seems to continue. 'Mistaken identity. Need Help'. Sounds like he's got problems"?, added Polecat.
Everyone then looked at one another and all nodded in agreement.
"I'm sure we ALL got our passports ready"?, asked Polecat.
"But we all better go on a commercial flight this time around"., joked Dr. Neumann.
"Yeah, there's only so much weight my biplane can stand"., added Bomber.
"Then it's settled. Next stop Mexico. As long as we don't get ourselves into mischief at Tijuana"., joked Terence.
A couple of hours later, everybody had finished their picnic and had packed up everything. Before they left though, the group took one last look at the lake. Everybody turned to look at Terence as he politely tipped his hat towards the lake and says "Auf Wiedersehen".
The End.
