This is just kind of a sloppy colored doodle comic about this weird little thing I do.

every time a new "Purge" movie gets released, I have to go see it in theaters by myself.
you might be asking "Why?"
because they're dumb bullshit and if there's anything that I love, it's dumb fuckin' bullshit.
but fact of the matter is that NOBODY ever wants to go with me.
like to a point where I know people who get annoyed with me that I willingly give these movies my money.

So I've been seeing them by myself since they first started.
and it's almost not even out of enjoyment entirely? I almost do it out of spite at this point.
Like I almost support the franchise simply because they piss people off with their mere existence.

With that said though, I think Anarchy and Election Year are fucking great and they feel like grindhouse exploitation films with a massive budget. The first one is really "Meh" since it was so localized to only one house, and then the most recent one "The First Purge?"
...it's, okay.
I think they're trying a little too hard to stoke the fires of more real social conflicts. I like the other two because they were "Survive the streets full of fucking zealous crazy people and mercenary gangs" this one was really straight up "The government is using this as an excuse to kill poor people" A little less fun and a little more deliberately upsetting.

-sigh- BUT NONE THE LESS, IF THEY MAKE ANOTHER ONE I'LL FUCKIN' BE THERE BEGRUDGINGLY GIVING THEM MORE MONEY.
