It looks like Nathaniel Emmes worked throughout most of the first half of the 18^th Century, with his handiwork becoming quite sophisticated the later 1740s.

Good catch. Until he died in 1750 he was one of the workingest one-man stonecarving businesses in Boston. He (and his son Henry) have commissions in graveyards up and down almost the whole eastern seaboard.
