Anna and Lisa Matthews are both characters of mine. I commissioned the charming and talented to draw them for me, and she did an adorable job as always. :D

Anna is a transgender whooping crane, and a cop. Lisa is a bisexual shire horse, and one of the only women Anna's ever met that's even taller than she is. Anna is also Lisa's second marriage; her first was to another shire horse, who is now the father of her son. But that guy's irrelevant. :P

Anna and Lisa got along great, and soon became very close. Lisa never stopped speaking her mind, well into their relationship. She called Anna out on a lot of her toxic behavior, and it's because of her that Anna realized she's trans.

Lisa supported Anna's transition 100%, and they got married after Anna had been on HRT for several years. Rather, after Anna was confident enough to get married in a wedding dress.

Anyone familiar with the backstory of Anna will know that their relationship does not have a happy ending, but that doesn't matter right now. This commission is about a single perfect moment in both of their lives.

Anna is a character that is very dear to me. She's a central character of a story I've wanted to make into a webcomic since 2006, but I got burnt out on writing for years. It wasn't until I met the love of my life (AmaraBurrger, AKA Epic Hoagie) that I found the inspiration to write again. It's been an amazing 13 months and 1 week. <3
