I'd say this experiment of yours turned out rather nicely. I like how the rocky leaf-like texture adds a sublime layer of depth to the form and shading. The fiery background draws attention away from the humanoid swan though. If the swan had more tonal focus, this experimental picture may become a fully-fledged illustration. =)
