Unsurprisingly, being a wolf, the moon is easily my favourite celestial body. I intend to try several, larger and more complex designs inspired by the moon in future, but this experiment was a good start.
The silver pendant I hand rolled, cut and hammered into shape before drawing on and then piercing the craters and cutting them out. A second plate is soldered behind and then stained with oxidizing fluid gave the solid black shadow effect. A simple bracket holds it firmly in place on a 1cm wide black sued leather cord. The necklace is intended to be worn as a tight collar or choker.
- Collar size = 31cm-36cm (extender chain)
- Weight of silver = 8.5g Sterling
- Pendant dimensions = 2.5cm diameter
- Time taken = 6hrs
