This was a personal piece. It isn't often that I get Dotti as a child/cub (nothing sexual either!!!) and special when I find an artist I trust for this kind of commission. Memories growing up as an only child who had to be an adult too fast. I think many others understand this feeling when your parents both work.

I sometimes forget that a lot of folks had a less-than-sitcom upbringing. Both of my parents lived home, Dad worked, Mom kept house and cooked. They stayed together until Dad went to the hospital in the Ambulance at 78. "Until death do us part" wasn't just words to them.
