WHAT!?!? A military manufacturer that isn't Khan'Ning!!!! BLASPHEMY!!!
The Main Battle Tank of the CDF, the MBT-82 *(full designation Me'Zil'Kow Weapons and Armour Design Bureau, Armoured Tracked Combat Chassis, 125mm Gun, Main Battle Tank, Year 1982)* was the main result of the CDF's Military Update Project of 1982 or M.U.P.-82 for short, with the goal being to design and manufacture a new main battle tank to replace the aging MBT-52's (MM-48-M3s redesignated in 1968) that could effectively detect, engage, and destroy the new Terran MBT's in development such as the US M-1s, Soviet T-72s, German Leopards, and British Challengers. The tank had to have a mass no more than 75 metric tonnes, have a crew of 4 or less, frontal armor effective thickness of 800 mm, side armor effective of 600mm, rear of 400mm, a top and bottom effectiveness of 300mm, have a height of no more than 3.5 meters, width of 5 meters, and a length of 13 meters with the gun forward, have a top speed of 70 km/h, and be armed with a weapon capable of 800mm of penetration. The initial product that MZK delivered was under armed, and under armoured on the sides and was to be redesigned, the turret had the gun mantlet removed and put the gun on a pintle like mount and a more dramatic slope on the front. With the Triple Arm Suspension system, with each bogie having 4 wheels and combined with wide tracks the tanks ground pressure was minimize and gave the tank a very smooth and mobil shooting platform being able to to shoot accurately at top speed on rough terrain at a target nearly 2 kilometers away.
