
This is the radio that's in the previous photo I posted. It's a Montgomery Wards Airline model GEN- 1463A made in 1975.
Bought this radio at a hamfest around 1982, and used it quite extensively in the 80's.
Don't remember why I covered the AFC switch with Liquid Paper.
The radio still works, but need to clean the band selector contacts on it.

I owned this when it came out! I loved it at the time, but I had wished to be able to get higher up into the SW band. So eventually got the larger wider all band radio Wards sold. Though on this, I loved being able to listen to my cities local fire dispatch around 154 mHz, AM was still fun then, used to listen to 60 WCAO, and 1230 WITH.
