I'm a little nervous that I'm just brushing over the issue of suddenly losing your sight. Blindness is a real aspect that some people have to deal with. I wanted to throw in some representation, but I'm nervous I won't do a good job. In settings like these, it's not the thought that counts; representation needs to be done well or it's just tokenism.

But yeah, I used the idea of the acute hearing of wolves to help Maple recover quickly from her blindness. She has the memory of the forest along with the ability to hear things like rustling leaves, footsteps, etc.
