Foxfins over at dA ordered this sea-themed creature awhile back! <3

Many moons ago, a sailing vessel with 30 men aboard and a few good guard QuillDogs took off to the mighty seas in search of the last good haul of fish. A winter storm was brewing to the north, and the crew thought they could make one last trip before the end of the season. The northern wind blew ferociously, and the storm came earlier than expected, tossing many men overboard and tumbling into the depths of the sea. The three QuillDogs were thrown overboard by jagged waves, and all pulled down by the powerful undertow. They say all three of the QuillDogs perished in the storm, along with most of the crew. The remains of the vessel lay at the bottom of the sea, inhabited by a mysterious QuillDog deity that is said to be born out of the winter winds of the sea storm and the perished soul of one of the guard QuillDogs.

When ships travel through this area when there are impending storms, many seamen report seeing a fantastical QuillDog sea deity warding them away from this area, and forcing their ships back towards shore. Rumors claim that the deity has the ability to manipulate pressure (aka, can collapse/expand and even explode the lungs and other organs) of itself and other creatures nearby, and can also manipulate the tides of the sea that surrounds it. They say that one day, the deity's two guard brothers may return.
