Legend states that many moons ago, a new QuillDog mother left her den in search of nourishment to feed her only pup. While she was gone, however, a mighty storm came and brought down a large fir tree, which rolled into place over her den's entrance, trapping the poor pup inside. Upon returning, she was distraught and tried with no avail to dig her dear newborn out of the den but had no luck, as the ground was frozen solid and the fallen tree wouldn't budge. She continued her efforts until the ground thawed and spring arrived.

Once the ground was soft and malleable, she was able to gain access to the den once more. She thought that surely her pup was dead. To her surprise, the pup was alive and well, sleeping soundly encased in a crystal of hardened magical sap that had dripped down from the fallen tree! The mother quickly shattered the magical sap crystal and the pup fluttered its eyes open; the forest had protected this little life, and had granted the pup many of its powers.

As a result, the QuillDog has quite unique abilities-- it can listen to and manipulate the trees, see other parts of the woods (and world!) through the gentle leaves of trees that allow it, utilize its sap and branches in magical fashion, and wherever it runs, crystals eventually grow. It has been known to leave crystal paths through the woods for traveerls to follow; anyone who follows these crystal trails will always find their way out of even the most confusing acres of woods.

Soooo I kinda got carried away with my work and created another QuillDog, oops <3 This one is rated Rare-- and I gotta say, I'm in looove with natural hues at the moment! I've had multiple requests for me to create more natural work, so I hope this might fulfill some of those requests c:
