Warrior Beast Diacus and Goberius were the Warrior beast Tag team duo feature on Episode 8 of the Great Mazinger Anime, under the command of Generals Julicaesar and Draydou, and were among the few Warrior Beasts capable to emote emotions, showing their sadistic nature – with Diacus laughing malignantly just before about to impale Venus and Goberius smiling at the detriment to one of Borot's mishaps.

Diacus was a SuperHuman Warrior Beast, decor with Dark and light blue, and purple colors, with diamonds covering his body and limbs – he had diamonds for eyes, two larger ones located on his Chest, one on a belt buckle and two for knee caps, as well his arms and legs were made of diamonds. He had sharp blades over his shoulder, and four sharp claws for a left hand. A SuperHuman Warrior beast with flight capability, his arsenal was comprise of a maze for a right hand (also made of diamonds), a Sword and could fire laser beam from his eyes. The diamond hull over his body would provide protection from energy attacks and reflected them back to their source. Like with Mechanical Beasts Belgas V5 and Skeleton O7, he had the ability to dismember and reassemble itself. His real face was located on the forehead.

Goberius was a Green color Reptilian Warrior Beast with an amphibious-lizard like aspect to it's look, with black eyes and red pupils, fins for feet (which allowed him to swim), a bear trap design to his mouth with sharp teeth, drill like horns over his head. He had retractable wings, with jet boosters, which allowed him to fly. He sport a six-tube missile launcher located on the back and his tongue could snare and electrocute enemies. Goberius real face was located on his forehead.

When The Borot is out on a training with Bakarasu (the gang's Crow and Spy) they witness the arrival of a new member to the Science Fortress Staff, Prof. Tonda (corroboration needed on his name, as this is how he is called in the Spanish version – he is the skinny Mori Mori of the Great series who later dies protecting Shiro). Tonda arrives from the United States to upgrade Great's Rocket Punch to a Drill Pressure Punch. Meanwhile the Empire proceeds for its next attack and loads Goberius and Diacus on the Mikelos and lift off under the command of Generals Julicaesar and Draydou with the objective to capture Prof. Kabuto.

Bakarasu talks and Bribes Shiro with candy to fetch Prof. Tonda for him which, after an altercation between him the Professor, the Borot Gang save him, and Boss after receiving praises from Boss, the Professor is under a debt of gratitude to Boss and they walk to see Borot, Nuke and Mucha take Bakarasu away to be punished by the vindictive little crow. As the Professor and the Gang begin to work on the Boss Borot, Mikelos resurface and launches Goberius, who attacks a coastal town and Venus A is launched to investigate and Bakarasu informs Boss, who is in the final stages of installing the new Borot Drill Pressure Punches. The Generals detect Venus and sent out Diacus to assist Goberius. Venus reaches the town, Goberius jumps in front of her and fires his missiles, she destroys them, but is snare by his tongue and electrocuted. When Diacus arrive, he impales his maze from behind and Venus goes down immediately. Just as Diacus is about to impale her with his sword, the completed Borot arrives to assist and knocks Diacus with a huge Boulder, but is attacked by Goberius' Rockets. Jun wakes up, fires her Optic Beams, but Diacus diamond body deflects it back it Venus. Goberius flies towards Borot and he opens fire with his new Drill Pressure Punch – Goberius hits it back to Borot, Boss remotely turns it around, but the damn thing breaks up before impact, much to the amusement of Goberius.

Great is finished on time and is launched to join the fight, leaving the Science fortress unprotected, Goberius goes to attack it, Borot tries to help Venus, but is impaled with Diacus' sword and zap - Great arrives and takes Diacus down, then grabs him by the leg and tosses him to the air. He fires his new Rocket Punch and hits it, breaking it to pieces, but these reassemble back as he lands. Great fires his Breast Burn, but is bounced back, Great takes off and avoids but the beast tangles his legs with its Maze and Chains, bashing it to the ground. At the same time, Goberius attacks the lab and captures Kabuto with its tongue and flies back to the Mikelos.

With victory now close, Diacus is about to kill Great Mazinger when Venus stands up and holds him, allowing Great to blast his Maze off and with Borot slicing him with his own sword on the torso – Tetsuya is inform of the Professor's capture and takes off, leaving Diacus to be finished of by Borot, who impales him in the true face, and Venus destroys the rest of the body with her Optic Beam.

As Goberius flies back to Mikelos, an argument develops between the Generals – Julicaesar wanting to destroy Goberius and kill Kabuto, while Draydou, who is his the Beast actual master, wanting him been brought. Mikelos fires at the command of Julicaesar, but the shot is block by Great, who throws his Great Boomerang and decapitates the Beast's head off, just before the 2nd shot blew the body. Great grabs the head, with the professor still inside, avoiding a 3rd shot on time. Tetsuya then uses his Thunder Break, zapping the Mikelos, forcing the villains to retreat as both bickering Generals are scolded by the Great General for their incompetence.

An angry Boss reprimands Prof. Tonda for the failure of his invention and the damage done to Borot, but Tonda reminded Boss that he worked with the material that he got (Junk) and these were only design for Great Mazinger.
