Scythes may not be the fastest, but they're definately neat and fatal. Provided you can move fast yourself, you're unstoppable with a scythe. :P

Multiple bladed edges, plus the ability to trap your opponent's weapon (especially a polearm like a scythe) and counter with the other hand. ^_^

...Of course, two trigger pulls with an M1A National Match at 300 yards, fight's over. >^.=.^<
