I wanted to try and explore some new things in this piece, and I think it ended out okay. I've had a rough week so this took a lot longer than expected. This piece also made me think about what my "style" is a bit. I really think I have a strange combination of cartoon and realism in my work- I want to be detailed but I also appreciate simplicity sometimes- for example, the hands are realistic, but the eyes are very clearly stylized.
