A new character for the "A Path of Thunder" story! Meet Kakkuttek, a Deinosuchus. Or a crocodile. Whatever you'd like to call his species. He will be a rather minor character in the story, appearing in just a few short scenes, although he makes a much larger appearance in the main conflict near the end.

Oh, and as his name may suggest, he's also there as a bit of a spoof of a certain grumpy and emo crocodile that all of you are familiar with. ^^

As you surely know, there were some species of really large crocs during the dinosaur era. Deinosuchus in particular was so big, he would easily make a meal of out of hadrosaurs and others of similar size. (Google it if you are curious.) So it is probably expected I would include them in my story.

And that is where the name "Archosaur Patrol" comes in. Archosaurs are the group of reptiles that includes both dinosaurs and crocodilians. It is the only earthly term I allowed myself for the story. In my story, the species name for Deinosuchus is "longjaw".
