I have a friend who is Ukranian. He's a bit older than me, and he and his parents emigrated to the U.S. after the end of the Cold War. He's in my acting class, and i'll be acting with him for the 3rd straight year. But aside from that, we sometimes go to the movies and i even invite him over to my house for movies and snacks. (He's also a bit heavier than me, which explains why i often have to slow down for him.) We share the same interests, and he has a good sense of humor, which is key in some plays.

Well, so far he's the only friend i have that i've bonded with frequently (although we didn't see each other over the summer because i've been busy with Anthrocon and other things). I hope i have the chance to do what we usually do more often.

Hearing people talk to you in a foreign language is always incredibly awkward...atleast for me.
