And from the circle of flame, she rose, a creature of pure abomination. Skin of ash, hair of oil, and a scythe of shade to pierce the soul of any who was to gaze upon it. A cool gaze of molten iron settled upon him as the ancient magics finished, and the accidental pact was made. Tirnelron could only quiver in fear and regret as he watched his freedom get sucked into an eternal abyss.

I've been getting back into D&D and my new warlock, Tirnelron's origins involve the accidental pact with NightRhynn's succubus Rune. I decided to take a stab at creating the demon's scythe, and it was really fun actually! The actual modeling wasn't too hard, and the worst bit was waiting 2.5 hours for the smoke to render. I've never really done anything with effects before, and I'm quite proud of it. I also did a detail shot, to show off the scythe without the blade (it can vaporize and solidify) to show the markings and etched runes. Make sure you check out NightRhynn's stuff, he does great art and I'm in love with every one of their characters.
