Name: Suncasjaj (means 'Sunshine')
Gender: gelding
Age: 5
Hands: 14.9
Build: Quarter horse
Eyes: chocolate brown
Pelt: Pale golden yellow with yellow-cream stockings (LF, LR), yellow-cream boot (RF), yellow-cream fetlock (RR) and a white blaze
Mane/Tail: yellow-cream
Hooves: pale yellow and light gray vertical stripes
Sire: Delia
Dam: Patches
Offspring: Komeer, Athen, Petchu
History: We purchased Suncasjaj from his first owner at just under a year of age. Despite already being a gelding, his owner was not able to control him, much less train him. We have had much more success.
Personality: Suncasjaj hates males and responds aggressively to violence or threats of it. He responds very well to kindness and learns tricks quickly; we have seen a strong desire to please in him. He will aggressively defend and herd he is placed with, and is more likely to challenge a predator than run from it if his rider is down. While capable of foraging on his own, he prefers a warm stall and grain. He will do just about anything for candied carrots.
Training: Trained as a riding, roping and hunting mount, also knows a handful of tricks such as kneeling or rearing on command.
