So this chapter is a bit short, but since summer is coming to an end I wanted to show one last pic of these two at the beach and in the water.

Love on Island
Final Days of Summer
It then became the month of August which meant the summer was almost over for Jack and Alexis on the island. Even if there weren’t any seasons, the feeling of school was approaching fast. The folfsky wanted to make sure he could make it last before going back to school. Even if that meant running into the sea otter, the male was fine with it. And on one of these last days found him at one of the beaches again. Naturally his family was here but so was Alexis’s. The little ones were in the water and had just finished seeing how much they had improved in holding their breath. “Looks like I win for longest,” she said.
“You got me,” he replied and smiled. “But I’ve gotten better.” Alexis bushed and smiled at Jack.
“Hey Jack, can I ask you something?”
“Sure, what is it?”
“Well…” The sea otter began to play with her fingers in a nervous way. The folfsky noticed this and wondered what was up with the female but shrugged it off. “What if… you know…”
“Know what?” Jack asked.
“If… we’re in the same class again,” Alexis finished, her voice getting higher pitched with nervousness.
The male hadn’t thought of that and had to think about it for a bit. He was so quiet, she got worried. Jack then looked to her. “If we were… Then it wouldn’t matter to me,” the male said.
“You mean it?” Alexis asked, hardly wanting to believe it.
“Sure. I mean true, you’re annoying to me at times and in general and I hate it plus you’re a pain.” That crushed her on the inside and her head and tail dropped with sadness. “And yet…” The sea otter looked up with hope. “You can still be fun to be around. Plus… you can swim better than me. I wouldn’t have you any other way.”
The little sea otter just closed her eyes and smiled deeply to herself. “Thank you…”
“Now how about another fun game?” Jack asked and the two kids took off where they had left off. Nicholas, Rio, and her parents were watching them while pausing in their talk and all of them smiled at this interaction. Well as it turned out Alexis was right to think that because during the last week, the two families went to meet the third-grade teacher Jack and the sea otter would be having and it turned out they were in the same class again. The little female was happy to have the folfsky as a classmate again as she knew that she liked Jack. He on the other hand figured this would be another interesting year.
