I'm sure many 90s kids will remember these CD-ROM software titles Disney Interactive put out in the 90s: the Disney Animated Storybooks. These were basically Disney's answer to the "Living Books" software titles of the 90s, which were point-and-click interactive animated storybooks that read you the story, and had a lot of neat clickable hotspots on each page. I had a few of these as a kid, and they were for the most part rather faithful adaptations of the films. Such titles included "The Lion King," "Pocahontas," the three original "Winnie the Pooh" featurettes (the "Blustery Day" animated storybook was incorporated into the "Winnie the Pooh Activity Center" program from 2000), "Toy Story," "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," "101 Dalmatians" (which combined elements from the 1961 animated film with the 1996 live-action remake), "Hercules," "The Little Mermaid" and "Mulan."
So I thought, why not whip up a fanmade Disney Animated Storybook box artwork for "Zootopia?" I mean, I already came up with a retro-style book-and-audio read-along cover for the film (1980s-style), along with a photo of a "Black Diamond" Classics VHS edition of the film, so I figured "Zootopia" should get another "Retro Disney Merchandise" photo manip of sorts.
