This is a bit of a filler comic, as it’s not really a part of any overall story arc. I did this for one of my first assignments of the Fall 2009 quarter at SCAD, and I thought it would make a good enough update on its own. The assignment was based around analyzing our own work and presenting it as a self-aware reconstruction of our style.
I totally used it as an excuse to draw more nature scenes, since that’s one of the things I enjoy most of all. And now you all can see my thought process in why I include the woods as often as I do. Hehe!
For those still interested in the voice acting roles, I am still accepting open auditions for most of the parts. Once I put together the page for the project on this site, I will be announcing the individuals who I’ve chosen to cast as the characters. Until that happens, you can consider the roles to be open to anyone who is interested, so there is no set time limit on your participation. I’ve had many people ask me if it was “too late to audition,” so I just wanted to put it on the table now: until you see someone else’s name as the character’s voice, you’re entirely welcome to send in a sample!
The next official story arc will start with the next page, so stay tuned for that update coming up next week.

Hehehe reminds me of Calvin & Hobbes, when Hobbes would get all philosophical and profound, and Calvin would just want him to give the sled a push so he could go down the hill. Wisdom and knowledge shared, but completely lost on the listener.
Thanks for making me grin, Jon.
