Full colour wing-it commission for Foxera ♥
This took a life of it's own and I just sort of went with it - I'm kind of proud of it? Originally it was going to be dark and gloomy, but the more I worked on it, the more vibrant it became haha~
I hope you like! I'm not used to the wing-it thing yet, it still feels so strange to just be left to work without any WIPS -- it's sort of nerve wracking but also means I have to trust myself to make it look pretty.
This character is absolutely down my alley - and while I didn't end up going with the darker theme.. I still thoroughly enjoyed working on her ;v; If I could start from scratch and try something else, I'd definitely want to try a darker theme with her.

As one who completely 'wings it' every time I write (music or story), your 'winging it' is absolutely awesome. You should let yourself go a little more now and then. You won't like everything (hell... my trash basket is WAY fuller than my portfolio) but the gems are worth it.

I definitely need to loosen up a bit with my work, and I really hope I can offer more wingits! It feels so much more smooth, and I love the "surprise" aspect of the result ♥ Sure, it might not always come out the way I or the client originally envisioned, and there will inevitably be some flops... but I think that's all part of the fun and journey of it~

The hardest thing I struggle with when doing any work like this (drawing, writing, writing music) is to keep my OCD monster caged up (mostly). I know that, for some, it's hard to figure that an ADHD nutcase like me could also be so anal about "getting everything exactly perfect" but it's one of those things that some people, that don't know how ADHD works, think that it means what it says... >attention deficit<. Thing is, the exact opposite is also true. We can get so hyper focused that we actually lose track of time and space around us. For me, I can worry a single drawn line to death. "Oh, that makes him look too fat." "No, that isn't right either." "What if I did this?" No, maybe this?" (erase for the umpteenth time and re-draw again). Those that draw know what I mean. So getting myself to simply "go for it" and then sit back and look and find it wasn't really that bad after all.
