This is the first entry of “From Giant Dragons to Killer Grass” a hunter's guide to survival in any and all environments. Written by an experienced survivalist.
This is the fearsome Underworld Flying Terror, a beast from the deeps of this world. This blind monster feeds in those foolish enough to venture into the depths without taking proper measures. Their blindness has one exception, magic, they can see the magic in all things, that contained with their hide's property of dispersing many kinds of magic makes magic users their favoured prey.
They hunt in groups of two or three, lurking in the dark hanging from a wall waiting even for weeks without feeding or moving until they see a possible prey and once they do they lounge forth with their needle like teeth that inject a powerful paralyzing toxin and then one of them will swallow the prey whole and back to waiting.
If you face this creature you need to keep awareness of your surroundings so is recommendable to be a group and in order to trick them is as simple as throwing a flare and they will most likely jump for it.
If you manage to kill one take the venom glands in the back of the head and the leather of the wings is the easiest to work with if you want to do something with it, unfortunately their flesh is utterly disgusting and no matter how I tried to prepare it didn't improved.
Contrary to what was believed these are not related to any kind of drakonid in any way, instead they one were a specie of giant serpent that once lived bellow the ocean floor.
