Furrie Haven Crest - World Wild Fur Camp!

katalina and I will be going to a brand new furry event in Hamilton, OH on Oct 5! It's called World Wild Fur Camp and we are super excited! ^^
The event is hosted by the YMCA, and there's an attendance cap of 300 people. It's a smallish gathering, but unlike other cons (which it's a camp, not a con), there's all kinds of outdoorsy and campish activities (that's a word right?) like hiking, fishing, rock-climbing, archery, swimming, basketball (YMCA!), campfires and much more! Plus it's fursuit friendly! ;)
Kat and I are gonna be "co-guild masters" of a cabin with up to 12 people (but probably much less), so it's very different than the more common hotel setting of conventions. Our guild is called "Furrie Haven", which is also the name of the forum owned by Kat where we first met online in 2006. ^^ The guild also shares the forum's philosophy which made me feel so welcome back then... friendship, kindness, open-mindedness, acceptance, support and of course silly fun. X3
I've also got a bunch of stuff planned for the event... from basketball games to a basketball tourney (w/ fursuits!) to an entire hour long solo fursuit musical performance! It's the most involved I've ever been in a furry event, and I think it's gonna be a blast! Plus it means I'll be making music videos soon because I have a lot of songs to practice! ;3
We even made a video describing the camp, our guild and more OVER HERE! ^^ (go watch it, it's cute! ;3)
The entire event costs $115, that includes lodging, 3 meals a day and admission to all the stuff the camp and YMCA have to offer! That's like the price of 1 night stay at a con hotel, so it's really worth looking into! Yeah it's the first year and there's bound to be bumps in the road, but I feel good about this event and look forward to the experience. :)
If you're interested, I recommend registering ASAP because there is a cap and while we're not that close now, it'll ensure you get your choice of guild plus it helps the staff know how many to expect and to plan accordingly.
