Since I'm a bit obsessive about keeping copies of old stuff so if I mess it up, I can easily go back. Though we do get a slide of progress as a result.

Starfox didn't have proper official sprites. The fan made ones were a fighting game sized idle pose, useful as a colour palette). Others were traced/a combination of megaman X and Sonic sprites.

Anyway, from right to left

1- A trace of the player character from Super Turrican, Even slimmed down it looked to bulky and macho. The legs being far appart looked cool, and reminded me of Riply or the flame thrower woman frame Alien Storm. But I wanted the legs closer together.

2- Even further slimmed down, and almost a redraw with only the gun and her gun arm remain. This "naked" sprite would get the outfit.

3- The final outfit. Based on the Starfox Assault suit, with some changes to make it work in pixel art. Fixed things like the tiara (which made her eyes look really tall) and hair. This is the final sprite, or close to it.
